PrideStaff is seeking an experienced Paralegal/Case Manager for our client in North County San Diego. This is a remote position but the associate must live locally for in person meetings.
Position: Paralegal/ Case ManagerPay Rate: $30/hr-$40/hr DOE
Hours: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
Location: Remote position (Must live locally to North County San Diego)
Temp to Hire Opportunity Key Responsibilities
Case Management:
- Open and manage case files from intake through closing
- Track deadlines, case stages, and budgets
- Ensure retainers, documents, and authorizations are in place
Client & Agency Coordination:
- Communicate with clients to gather documents and provide updates
- Contact IRS, CDTFA, EDD, and FTB to obtain transcripts, status updates, and records
Document & Financial Analysis:
- Review tax returns, financial records, and agency transcripts
- Organize and maintain structured case files and workpapers
- Identify missing or inconsistent information
Drafting & Support:
- Prepare drafts of IRS forms (e.g., 433-A, CDP requests, appeals)
- Draft FOIA and TAS requests
- Assist with audit responses and supporting documentation
- Conduct legal and factual research and summarize findings
Case Execution Support:
Required:
- 3+ years of relevant experience (paralegal, tax, or accounting environment)
- Strong organizational and document management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
Preferred:
- Enrolled Agent (EA) license
- Experience working with IRS or state tax agencies
- Experience reviewing financial records and tax data
- Takes ownership of work and follows through without prompting
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, detail-heavy environment
- Reliable, responsive, and proactive
