Overview $5,000 Sign on Bonus Available!!! $2,500 Relocation Bonus Available (greater than 50 miles) (external candidates only) The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing. Responsibilities Provide and facilitate competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensure adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice. Ensure documentation of care is complete and accurate. Provide health and wellness education to individuals and groups. Act as preceptor and support the development of other staff and healthcare students. Provide leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes. Assist Nursing Supervisor in the development of departmental standing orders as directed. High risk phone call triage—suicide calls, safety checks. Assist with social work issues—medication payments, setup of multiple psychiatric/psychology appointments. Prepare forms/letters for FMLA, school or work. Manage refill line—retrieve patient information from phone line and start a message in EPIC. Prior authorization for psych medications. Injections. Qualifications Certifications: Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA). Education: College Diploma in Nursing. Work Experience: (not specified). SALARY RANGE The compensation range for this position is $30.39 per hour – $52.27 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
