Step into a dynamic school-based setting near Temple, TX, where you’ll help students reach their fullest communication potential. This contract position offers four immediate openings for the 2026/2027 school year, supporting students across K-12th grade. With a full-time schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to make a meaningful impact each day.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of Texas is required
- Credentials welcoming SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and school-based SLP professionals
- Experience in school settings, with a passion for supporting diverse learners in K-12 environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to different age groups and developmental stages
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students with a range of needs from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with special education teams
- Conduct assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and monitor student progress
- Offer consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding student communication needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and communicate effectively with caregivers
