Looking for someone available to pick up a minimum two shifts a month during the week and weekend 6am-12pm./ph3Job Purpose/h3pThe Surgical Center Nurse is responsible for all nursing care and activities, ensuring that the highest quality patient care is maintained. This position will train to perform all functions as needed during the pre-operative, surgical and post-operative phases of patient care./ph3Essential Functions and Accountabilities/h3ulliProvides emotional support to the patient during the pre-operative, operative and post-operative stages./liliPerforms all pre-operative and post-operative required activities so that the movement of the surgical procedures are coordinated, ensuring quality patient care./liliPre-Operative - Completes patient pre-operative assessment and documents according to policy./liliSurgical - Performs all operative activities including checking the room for supplies, assisting the surgical technician setting up cases, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, surgical counts, transport of patient and report hand-off to the recovery team./liliPACU - Receives patient from the operating room with report of pertinent history and procedure (surgery performed, medications, fluids, complications, anesthetic/sedation/reversal agents, emotional status pre-procedure.)/liliAssesses the patient on transfer from the post-anesthesia recovery room and documents that assessment./liliMonitors patients for condition changes and report any changes to the physician./liliReviews the physicians discharge instructions with the patient and/or the patients family and answers any questions the patient or others may have./liliAssists in the readying of the patient for discharge from the Center so that the patient receives continuity of nursing care./liliFollows proper infection control and safety precautions in the performance of all duties./li/ulh3Academic Training/h3ulliGraduate of an approved School of Nursing ulliStudies level: University Education (Bachelors Degree)/liliStudies area: Nursing/li/ul/liliBLS/ACLS required ulliStudies level: Certification/liliStudies area: BLS/ACLS/li/ul/li/ulh3Position Requirements/Experience/h3ulli2+ years clinical nursing experience - required/li/ulh3Technical Skills/h3ulliProficient in nursing assessment and intravenous therapy./liliProficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook./li/ulh3Benefits/h3ulliMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance Options/liliRetirement 401K Plan/liliPaid Time Off Paid Holidays/liliCompany Paid: Life Insurance Long-Term Disability ADD/liliFlexible Spending Accounts/liliEmployee Assistance Program/liliTuition Reimbursement/li/ulh3About IVIRMA Global/h3pIVIRMA is the largest group in the world devoted exclusively to human Assisted Reproduction Technology.
