Speech Language Pathologist in University Park, PA

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your expertise as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to a fulfilling, short-term contract supporting students during this summer’s Extended School Year (ESY) program. This rewarding opportunity is located in the vibrant area near University Park, PA and focuses on guiding students in grades 6-12—primarily those receiving life skills or autistic support services.

Your sessions will be set in a supportive environment, with a paraprofessional present for each student, ensuring focused engagement and collaboration. The position runs from July 6 to July 23, 2026, with flexible hours totaling 4 to 6 hours per week. You’ll conduct 3-4 individual sessions (each 30 minutes weekly for 3 weeks) and facilitate 3 group sessions (30 minutes weekly for 3 weeks), scheduled Monday through Thursday mornings.

Desired Background and Skills:

Hold a current SLP-CCC and be fully licensed in Pennsylvania
Clinical experience in school-based settings, specifically within ESY or summer programs
Skilled in planning and implementing engaging therapy for secondary school-age life skills and autistic support students
Able to collaborate effectively with paraprofessional support staff
Strong communication and organizational abilities

Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy following students’ IEP goals
Document progress and adjust interventions as needed
Participate as an active, positive partner within a multidisciplinary team
Inspire growth and skill development among motivated students
