Branch Manager - Savannah, GA

We are seeking an energetic Branch Manager who will ensure exceptional member experiences and drive branch growth through proactive business development, relationship-building, and community engagement. This leadership role balances a strong external presence with accountability for team performance, operational excellence, and branch success.

Reports To: VP of Retail Operations

Target Hiring Pay Range: $58,113 - $72,641

The listed pay information includes the minimum rate of pay to the mid-point rate of pay for the posted position. Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Branch Manager is to drive branch growth through business development, member relationships, and community partnerships while advancing Center Parc Credit Union’s mission of member financial success. The manager leads employee development and sales performance, delegates daily operations and administration to the Assistant Branch Manager and/or Lead MSR, and remains accountable for service, compliance, controls, and branch results

2. Prioritize business development and branch growth. Delegate daily operations and administrative tasks to the Assistant Branch Manager and/or Lead MSR while retaining accountability for service and results.
3. Ensure a professional, secure, member-ready branch and timely resolution of facility, equipment, safety, and repair needs.
4. Ensure compliance with service, operational, fraud-prevention, safety, security, and other applicable requirements. Address exceptions and escalate material risks.
5. Oversee staffing, scheduling, and timekeeping to ensure compliant coverage, service levels, and operational continuity.
6. Lead workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, development, and performance management. Set goals, delegate work, coach employees, and enforce accountability through corrective action as needed.
7. Maintain retail operations and product expertise and ensure employees deliver accurate, effective member service.
8. Own branch growth, sales, referral, and business development results through clear goals, needs-based sales coaching, and performance monitoring.
9. Make proactive business development a primary responsibility. Personally cultivate prospects and local partnerships, conduct outreach and financial education, and represent CPCU at community events to acquire members and deepen relationships.
10. Ensure consistent application of CPCU transaction policies, procedures, and internal controls through delegated oversight and employee accountability.
11. Ensure operational, product, procedural, and compliance changes are communicated, understood, and consistently implemented.
12. Review employee override permissions and transaction authority within CPCU policies, role requirements, and controls.
13. Ensure transaction training and compliance, including holds, fee waivers or refunds, coding, and exceptions. Retain final branch-level decision accountability within authorized limits.
14. Partner across CPCU to generate business, coordinate community outreach, and convert referrals through timely follow-up. Ensure appropriate member solutions, seamless handoffs, and resolution of matters beyond branch authority.
15. Ensure accurate, compliant account opening, maintenance, and credit card and loan requests, with recommendations aligned to member needs.
16. Resolve escalated member complaints and complex service issues with timely documentation and follow-up. Escalate significant risks and recurring concerns.
17. Retain accountability for delegated cash operations, including orders, receipts, cash limits, teller and ATM balancing, dual verification, and documented loss investigations and corrective action.
18. Ensure internal and external audit readiness, accurate records, responses to findings, and timely completion of corrective action.
19. Effectively uses written and oral communication skills in daily correspondence and completion of tasks.
20. Maintains credibility and positive working relationships across all levels of employees, managers, and executives within the organization.
21. Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations and Bank Secrecy Act as they relate to this position.
22. Attend ongoing training as needed, including on and off-site workshops and webinars to maintain a prominent level of knowledge related to the position.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises branch employees. May also oversee day-to-day tasks through indirect reporting relationships or a matrixed management approach.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, or related field of study; 2 years relative work experience in lieu of degree

• 4 years specific work experience in banking, financial services, or credit unions
• 2 years of relative operational or branch supervisory experience in a bank or credit union
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or Experience:

• 2 years of experience as a Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager in a bank or credit union
• Prior experience with Symitar, and Meridian Link

Physical Job Requirements:

Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand and sit regularly, bend and stoop as needed, see objects up close or at a distance, use peripheral vision. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 5 to 25 pounds
