This exciting ownership positions us for continued impacts and growth in the future.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesDiesel Truck MechanicAs a Diesel Truck Mechanic you will be responsible for providing maintenance support through the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of trucks, trailers and tankers.Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all timesInspects, diagnoses and repairs trucks, trailers and tankers; repairs or replaces vehicle transmissions, steering mechanisms, brakes, engines and other associated parts as requiredCompletes diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interprets results to develop solutionsCompletes oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checksFuels trucks, hooks and unhooks trailers and operates forklifts to complete transfersTests drives repaired vehicles to gauge overall performance and quality issue resolutionPerforms DOT pre-check and NYS inspectionsConsults with customer and reviews work orders to evaluate immediate tasks required and prepare full scope of workMaintains records of parts inventory and services vehiclesConducts field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdownTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizationEducation- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)Experience1+ years of diesel engine experience with a mechanical background (required)Previous welding experience (preferred)Benefits, Compensation & Workforce DiversityArcwood offers competitive pay and bonus incentives.
