The team uses a highly personalized, integrative care model grounded in the eight dimensions of wellness to help clients build balance across emotional, physical, social, spiritual, financial, occupational, intellectual, and environmental domains. Clinicians work with concerns such as relationship issues, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, grief, life transitions, and more. Role Description The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy using evidence-informed approaches that align with the practice's integrative wellness model. Day-to-day responsibilities include completing intake assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, delivering ongoing therapy sessions, maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other members of a client’s support system when needed. The therapist will collaborate with colleagues for consultation, participate in case discussions, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed therapeutic environment. This is a contract role based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid schedule that combines in-office sessions with flexibility to provide some services from home as appropriate. Qualifications Strong clinical foundation in Mental Health, with experience providing psychotherapy for concerns such as anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and relationship challenges. Skills in Treatment Planning, including conducting comprehensive assessments, setting measurable goals, and adjusting care based on client progress and feedback. Background in Professional Counseling, Clinical Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology or related helping professions, with a commitment to person-in-environment and strengths-based, culturally responsive practice. Experience or training in Family Therapy, including working with couples, families, and support systems to address relational patterns and improve communication. Competence in Case Management, such as coordinating with community resources, collaborating with other providers, and supporting clients in navigating systems of care. Active independent or associate-level clinical license (e.g., LPC, LGPC, LMFT, LGMFT, LCSW, LICSW, PsyD/PhD) in Washington, DC, or eligibility to obtain one. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with comfort using electronic health records and telehealth platforms. Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and serving clients from diverse racial, cultural, sexual, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
