Phlebotomist Float

Phlebotomist Float Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Waldorf, MD. This role involves working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. with rotating Saturdays; hours vary by location. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Conduct administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications One year or more experience as a phlebotomist Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or prior experience Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation Minimum age 21 years Pay and Incentives Pay Range: $17.75 – $26.00 per hour. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
