Hematology/Oncology Physician

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the future of hematology-oncology within an academic setting. Affiliated with a respected local medical school, the role focuses on expanding clinical trials and fostering educational growth. The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art facility, equipped with a 15-chair infusion center, and play a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. Role Breakdown Approximately 30% research responsibilities Approximately 70% clinical responsibilities Responsibilities Provide leadership and strategic direction for clinical trial expansion. Collaborate with internal medicine residents. Mentor Hem-Onc fellows. Conduct clinical oncology research. May serve as local Principal Investigator. Work Schedule Monday Friday, 40-hour workweek with no weekend clinical requirements. Phone call coverage is shared among a group of 15 providers. Requirements Must be fellowship trained in Hem-Onc. Leadership experience preferred, but strong new graduates who are Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) will be considered. Must have a New York (NY) medical license.
