Role Description This part-time, on-site Group Fitness Instructor role is based in Jersey City, NJ. The instructor will lead dynamic group training sessions, demonstrating proper exercise techniques, ensuring member safety, and delivering high-energy workouts aligned with ISI® Elite Training’s programming. Day-to-day tasks include coaching members through warm-ups, strength and conditioning circuits, and cool-downs, while offering modifications to accommodate different fitness levels. The role involves building rapport with members, providing encouragement and feedback, maintaining a clean and organized training space, and supporting member retention through excellent in-session engagement. Instructors will also collaborate with the coaching team, uphold brand standards, and contribute to a motivating and inclusive studio culture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Group Exercise and Fitness Instruction, with the ability to lead safe, effective, and high-energy group workouts.
• Experience in Personal Training and a strong understanding of the Fitness Industry, including current training methods and best practices.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to create a welcoming environment, build relationships, and support member goals.
• Relevant certifications such as CPT, group fitness, or strength and conditioning credentials (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA) are preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate and coach proper movement patterns, adjust workouts for varying fitness levels, and prioritize member safety.
• Effective communication skills, reliability in scheduling, and a team-oriented mindset aligned with ISI® Elite Training’s core values.
• Previous experience in a boutique fitness, studio, or athletic coaching environment is a plus.
