Physical Therapist (PT)

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join their therapy department. The ideal candidate will provide therapy services to a diverse patient population, including outpatients, inpatients, and skilled nursing facility (SNF) patients. The role encompasses a variety of specialties including wound care, lymphedema management, pelvic floor therapy, and pediatric care.

Start Date: ASAP

Shift: 5x8 Days

Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in physical therapy
• Current BLS certification
• Valid license to practice in Alaska
• Experience with pediatric and adolescent patients is preferred but not required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop treatment plans for patients of all ages and diagnoses
• Provide direct patient care in outpatient and acute care settings
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across outpatient, acute care, and SNF areas

Housing and Travel Information

• Housing is provided, typically in 1-bedroom apartments
• Housing will be available for move-in within 72 hours before the contract begins and must be vacated 24 hours after contract ends
• Pets are not allowed in the housing units
• Travelers will have access to a rental vehicle during the assignment
• Additional family members staying with the traveler must be approved by the facility

Additional Notes

Requests for time off (RTO) will be considered based on individual needs. Note that while local candidates are not accepted, those residing at least 50 miles from the facility are encouraged to apply.
