⏰ Shift & Weekly Hours

• Shift Options:
  • Days: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
  • Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 Hours/Week
• Start: ASAP

Facility Highlights

• 32-bed acute care hospital
• New facility open for approximately 2 years
• All patient levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) are housed within the same clinical area

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years Med-Surg RN experience in an acute care hospital
• Experience with:
  • Total Joint Replacements
  • Abdominal Surgical Procedures
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

Preferred / Additional Requirement

• Must be willing to float to PCU
• Ideally have 1 year of recent PCU experience if floating

EMR

• Recent EPIC experience preferred/required for submission screening

Required Licensure & Certifications

✅ Active Nebraska RN License OR Multistate Compact License
✅ BLS (AHA or ARC)

Unit Overview

Patient Ratios

• Med-Surg: 1:5
• PCU: 1:4

• Surgical recovery patients
• Total joint replacements
• Abdominal surgery patients
• Wound Vac management
• Acute care nursing

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient assessment and reassessment
• Surgical patient care and recovery
• Aseptic technique and patient safety
• Accurate documentation
• Care planning and patient education
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
• Safe patient transitions and discharge planning

Floating Requirements

• May float to PCU if qualified and comfortable
• Float capability is a key submission consideration

Dress Code

• Pewter Grey Scrubs
• Light Turquoise Scrubs

Orientation

Traveler Orientation

• 4-hour general orientation
• Shadow floor nurse for remainder of first day
• 1 full orientation shift with staff nurse
• Independent assignment afterward

Important Notes

• 12 hours Non-Billable Orientation
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation

Call-Off Policy

• Facility may cancel up to 48 hours per 13-week contract
