Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Chemo Certified Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience unspecified License: Must have RN license in hand Certifications: Oncology Certified Nurse preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience - Charting system experience - Level 1 trauma experience Description: Assess clinical, emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, financial, and other patient needs. Facilitate resolution to patient needs and monitor follow-ups. Educate and reinforce education with patients and families on disease, treatments, side effects, adverse reactions, and reportable signs/symptoms based on multidisciplinary care plans. Coordinate discharge planning with patients' families, social workers, home nursing staff, oncologists, and personal physicians. Work with patients and family members to ensure discharge instructions are understood and followed. Develop and coordinate the development of patient education materials, clinical pathways, and quality studies. Coordinate and/or participate in multidisciplinary consultations and/or tumor conferences. Document recommendations made at multidisciplinary consultations and/or tumor conferences.
