RN Supervisor Needed - Days 7am - 7:30pm

Responsibilities Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center, a subsidiary of UHS, is a private 182-bed hospital that specializes in the treatment of drug addiction, mental health issues and concurrent disorders for adults as well as adolescents. Qualifications Education/Training Current license to practice in Florida Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Able to communicate effectively in English through written and verbal means. Ability to effectively supervise and/or direct the implementation of individualized nursing care. Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluation of situations and/or making nursing decisions. Experience: A minimum of one (2) year in a Psychiatric Behavioral Health Center environment or health-care facility treating, mentally ill, or chemically dependent patients, with understanding of co-occurring disorders, and Cultural Linguistic Diversity amongst patients. Must have supervisory experience Licensure/Certification: Current Florida State Registered Nurse License Current Florida Driver's License Current CPR Certification Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients. Knowledge of milieu management. Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties. Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects. Ability to safely implement Special Treatment Procedures.
