Neuro Medicine Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Join a specialized neuro-focused unit as a Registered Nurse, providing direct patient care in the largest Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the state. Role Overview: Provide comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Develop and implement individualized care plans collaboratively with an interprofessional team, patients, and families. Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development. Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers. Qualifications & Skills: Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree, RN license, and ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience. Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (eligible upon hire). Key Responsibilities: Promote patient and family-centered care, ensuring education on illness management and post-discharge needs.
