We’re currently seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager to help oversee an 132-unit apartment community in El Cajon, CA. If you enjoy building strong resident relationships, maintaining high community standards, and working in a collaborative team environment, we’d love to hear from you. Experience in affordable housing programs such as RD, HUD, or LIHTC is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the assigned property’s daily operations. Process applications, screen applicants, and verify landlord references. Prepare leases, house rules, and required documentation. Manage tenant certifications and re-certifications. Conduct move‑ins and move‑outs. Collect rent and security deposits. Enforce lease agreements and community policies. Coordinate maintenance and ensure property standards are met. Maintain strong curb appeal and property presentation. Market and advertise vacant units to attract qualified residents. Respond appropriately to emergency situations. Follow company policies and procedures. Qualifications & Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software/databases. Strong math and financial accuracy skills. Excellent organization and time management abilities. Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Professionalism and strong listening skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and corporate staff. Basic Requirements Reliable transportation. Authorized to work in the United States. Access to a personal smartphone with email, messaging, and app capability (usage reimbursed).
