Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 week options available) | Night Shift | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hour per week options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units, which may include neuroscience, oncology, trauma, cardiac, ortho, transplant, stepdown, or observation settings
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned units
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope to various units across one or more campuses to meet facility staffing needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport, and paramedics/swoop personnel
• Meet weekend and holiday shift requirements as defined by unit scheduling policies

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Experience managing IV drips
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
• ACLS certification
• Background in specialty areas such as neuroscience, oncology, trauma, cardiac, or transplant nursing
