- Design Tailored Treatment Plans: Evaluate patient needs and formulate specialized therapy plans aimed at achieving their functional goals
- Implement Therapeutic Strategies: Employ evidence-based interventions to strengthen patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily activities
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Instruct Patients and Families: Educate patients and their loved ones about techniques that promote progress and support recovery at home
- Monitor and Assess Patient Progress: Keep track of clinical outcomes and modify treatments as required, ensuring patients remain on the path toward success
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Ongoing education or post-graduate certifications are encouraged and supported
- A valid Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required
- A strong passion for empowering individuals and a natural inclination to foster independence
- Effective, compassionate communication skills with both patients and team members
- The ability to think outside the box and adapt treatments to meet diverse patient needs
- Confidence in working autonomously and collaborating within a close-knit, interdisciplinary group
