Provide subject‑matter expertise in areas including project management, security system setup, project scope definition, risk identification, security project methodology, prioritization, and facilitation. Maintain control of schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction at all times. Present to management and/or customers on project updates, security project cycle, and expected results. May manage vendor relationships throughout the security installation. Ensure projects are closed on time and within scope. How you will do it Methodology – Understanding of Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology and key knowledge areas relevant to security projects: Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, and Procurement Management. Communication and Coordination – Responsible for communication and status reporting to project staff, customers, and Johnson Controls management in the realm of security projects. Handle work plan, lead project resources, assign duties, define responsibilities, scope of authority, and provide technical advice and problem resolution. Fiscal – Track project expenditures and installation progress through reviews of status reports prepared by project personnel, and modify schedules as needed. Maintain full financial accountability to the security project; forecast financial trends, understand cost structures, and translate to Johnson Controls accounting methodology using AIA standards. Quality – Maintain project quality of security installations by conducting inspections of the worksite and ensuring workmanship meets Johnson Controls installation quality standards and expectations. Customer Service – Provide adaptable, concise, and professional support to all customers and staff in security projects and ensure timely follow‑up on all customer concerns and issues. What we look for Required Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience of at least five years. Travel as needed. 5 years project management – security industry (preferred) or new construction experience. Preferred Certifications preferred or ability to acquire certification within 6 months of employment. CSPM (Certified Security Project Manager) PMI PMP (Project Management Professional) Salary Hiring salary range: $89,000 – $134,000. This is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data. This role offers a competitive bonus plan based on individual, group, and corporate performance. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
