Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a 13-week travel contract in Louisville, KY. This opportunity is ideal for RNs with strong acute care and PCU experience who thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, coordinating treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities

✅ Perform patient assessments and reassessments

✅ Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans

✅ Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions

✅ Deliver high-quality patient and family education

✅ Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

✅ Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

✅ Delegate tasks appropriately and support teamwork initiatives

✅ Participate in quality improvement and patient safety programs

Required Qualifications

✔ Active RN License

✔ Minimum 2 Years of Acute Care RN Experience

✔ Minimum 2 Years of PCU Experience

✔ Experience with Epic EMR

✔ Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

✔ Ability to work every other weekend

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Active Registered Nurse License

Education

• Nursing Diploma OR
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
