The Drywall Taper will be responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces primarily on residential home projects. Working independently or as part of a small crew, the taper will handle all types of drywall systems and often travel between various job sites. This role focuses on quality joint finishing to create smooth, seamless walls ready for painting or other finishes.

Responsibilities

• Taping, mudding, and sanding drywall joints
• Preparing surfaces and handling materials efficiently
• Applying joint compounds with precision
• Inspecting finished surfaces for quality and consistency
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization on job sites
• Traveling frequently between residential project locations

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in drywall finishing and taping
• Expertise in joint compound application and sanding techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and maintain measurement accuracy
• Strong physical stamina and time management skills
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team
