If you're a Python engineer who loves solving hard search-relevance and distributed-systems problems at scale, this one's worth a look.What You'll DoDesign and build scalable backend services and REST APIs in Python (FastAPI, async)Own Elasticsearch index design, query performance, and relevance tuning for high-volume search workloadsBuild event-driven data pipelines using Kafka for real-time, high-throughput processingDevelop and secure cloud-native services on Microsoft AzureIntegrate with Databricks and enterprise data platforms for large-scale data processingDrive CI/CD, observability, and production performance across a modern distributed architectureWhat You Bring7+ years of hands-on Python backend development -- this is foundational, not optionalStrong production Elasticsearch experience (Query DSL, relevance tuning, mapping, index lifecycle management)Experience with Kafka or a comparable enterprise event-streaming platformHands-on experience deploying and securing applications on Microsoft AzureSolid grounding in distributed systems, microservices, and CI/CD (Git, Docker, Azure DevOps)Nice to HaveDatabricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake experienceSemantic/vector search, LLM integration, or Azure OpenAI experienceKubernetes, Terraform/Pulumi, and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)Healthcare or supply chain industry backgroundThe Details?
