Empowered Staffing is partnered with a growing ABA therapy organization seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to lead its Virginia operations and help build the foundation for future expansion.

As the Director of Operations, you will lead day-to-day business operations and develop the processes needed to scale ABA services. Working closely with ownership and the CFO, this person will have the autonomy to identify opportunities, solve problems, and turn growth plans into action.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day ABA operations in Virginia, supporting effective service delivery across center-based and in-home programs.
• Evaluate operational performance, identify barriers to growth, and implement practical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve the experience for families and team members.
• Develop and execute a market-specific growth plan to increase referrals, admissions, and the number of families served.
• Build relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and other potential referral sources.
• Monitor the referral pipeline and work with the operations team to move families efficiently through intake and into services.
• Assess staffing needs based on current census, referral volume, projected growth, and service requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, expand access to services, and build a sustainable platform for growth.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of ABA industry experience, with demonstrated operational leadership responsibility.
• Proven success managing and growing an ABA operation, including responsibility for staffing, workflows, census, and business performance.
• Experience opening locations, expanding into new markets, scaling services, or managing multiple locations.
• Experience developing referral relationships, supporting marketing efforts, and driving measurable growth.
• Ability to develop processes, solve problems independently, and execute without frequent direction.
