Overview Emergency Department (ED/ER) – Full‑time night shift. 3‑12 hour shifts, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Compensation Hourly rate: $35.35 to $53.58. Staff may also receive a sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities Registered Nurse (RN) provides rapid, high‑quality care to patients with acute illness, injury, and life‑threatening conditions in a fast‑paced Emergency Department. Assess, prioritize, and triage patients using established clinical protocols. Provide emergency nursing care, treatments, and life‑saving interventions. Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered. Monitor patient condition, interpret clinical findings, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team. Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization. Operate and monitor emergency and life‑support equipment. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive clinical outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current and valid state RN license. Current BLS certificate at hire and maintained. Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintained. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. Minimum one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; ER experience preferred. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Facility Specific Requirements In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintained. EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire. Non‑OB facilities: NRP certificate within 90 days of hire and maintained. Trauma designated facilities: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintained. Non‑trauma facilities: TNCC preferred.
