CT TechnologistWe are seeking a CT Technologist, sometimes referred to as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech). As a CT Technologist you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient's internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care.Responsibilities** If you have your ARRT-R and want to cross train into CT, we encourage you to apply. New grads are welcome to apply!**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Prepare patients for their X-ray, CT or MRI scans by explaining the procedures, addressing any concerns or questions, and ensuring that patients are comfortableOperate MRI equipment, CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all timesAssist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced, you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain proceduresAdhere to strict safety protocols to protect both patients and you from potential hazards associated with MRI technology, such as strong magnetic fieldsResponsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygieneQualificationsRadiology/ CT license as required by StateARRT-CT Certification is requiredMust possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hireKnowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is requiredExtensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is requiredProficient computer skillsOne year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferredHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsFull benefits at Prime Healthcare: StatusFull TimeShiftVariableEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
