Production Team Lead

Location: Paris, KY
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour to start, with the opportunity to increase to $22.00 per hour upon full-time hire
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Flexible between 1st and 2nd shift. Current 1st shift schedule is Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM. Must be flexible to work 1st shift during the slow season, including for the team lead normally assigned to 2nd shift.

Position Summary

People Plus is hiring two Production Team Leads for a fertilizer spike manufacturing facility in Paris, KY. Team Leads will work directly under the production supervisor and help oversee daily production operations, keep lines running efficiently, and assist employees wherever needed. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes maintaining production paperwork, printing labels, monitoring workflow, and helping ensure production goals are met.

The ideal candidates will have previous manufacturing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned production lines and help ensure daily production goals are met.
• Provide direction and support to production employees throughout the shift.
• Assist with hands-on production tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• Monitor workflow, product quality, and production efficiency.
• Print product labels and ensure accurate labeling throughout the production process.
• Maintain production paperwork, records, and required documentation.
• Communicate production needs, issues, and updates to the supervisor.
• Help identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure employees follow established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
• Perform other production and team leadership duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous manufacturing or production experience required.
• Previous team lead or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to print labels and maintain paperwork.
• Ability to communicate effectively and help direct a production team.
• Willingness to work hands-on in production and assist wherever needed.
• Flexible to work 1st and 2nd shifts based on production needs.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work the current schedule of Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, for 1st shift.
