The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation in reservoir engineering, a working knowledge of commercial oil and gas economics software, a general understanding of SEC rules and regulations, and the ability to integrate multidisciplinary data to support divisions in optimizing asset performance. When you join EOG, you become part of a culture that values your ideas, invests in your growth, and gives you the opportunity to help shape the future of energy in a sustainable and responsible way.Key ResponsibilitiesSEC reserves estimation and documentation in compliance with regulatory standardsPrepare and present material necessary for the completion of internal and external technical and process auditsCollaborate with multi-disciplinary asset teams, corporate planning, and accounting teams to ensure accurate forecasting of volumes and economic inputs for reserve estimationLead initiatives to streamline current workflows and implement innovative solutions that enhance productivity and increase efficiencyTrack and communicate performance metrics for areas of responsibility to support informed decision-makingCollaborate with corporate technical team and division asset teams to identify and prioritize technical projects for asset optimizationPerform reservoir engineering analyses including decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetric calculations, pressure transient analysis, rate transient analysis, and nodal analysis to support volume forecastsContribute to reservoir simulation studies and PVT analysis as neededPrepare and present reserve reports and technical findings to senior managementJob RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related disciplineExperience:7+ years in oil & gas, including at least 3 years in reservoir engineering and exposure to operationsTechnical Skills:Strong proficiency in reservoir engineering principles and fundamentalsWorking knowledge of commercial economics software (e.g., ARIES, ComboCurve)Familiarity with reservoir simulation and PVT analysisAbility to integrate data from all disciplines including geology, geophysics, and petrophysicsSoft Skills:Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly data-driven and intellectually curiousAbility to influence decisions and lead cross-functional initiativesExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesPreferred AttributesExperience with SEC reserves reportingAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailPosition will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.EOG Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Disabled.Equal Employment is the Law Requests for AccommodationIndividuals with a disability who wish to request an accommodation to complete an employment application, please Click here or call View phone number on click.appcast.io.
