The successful candidate will be a trusted and steady leader, responsible for strengthening the organization's internal operations, financial and organizational discipline, and enterprise-wide effectiveness. This pivotal role involves partnering with the President & CEO to implement the strategic plan, leading the tracking and assessment of progress, and supporting change management as the organization scales. The VP will also oversee financial operations, collaborate on budget development, and ensure the maintenance of effective internal systems. Team leadership is a key aspect of the role, including supervision of the Director of Development, Director of Marketing, and Director of Finance & Operations, as well as fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of leadership experience in nonprofit, conservation, or mission-driven organizations, with a proven track record in operations, financial management, and leading multi-functional teams. The role requires a leader with strong financial acumen, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a clear, transparent communication style. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree, and the candidate must be willing to travel as needed. Preferred qualifications include experience with grant-heavy funding models, familiarity with international conservation work, and a background in managing distributed or remote teams.
