Junior Engineer

Overview Entry‑level engineer position in Muscle Shoals, AL, requiring willingness to travel nationwide. The role involves collaborating with the TAB global team to produce complete working drawings, manufacturing drawings, material estimates, quality controls, and site surveys for refractory solutions worldwide. Location Muscle Shoals, AL. Travel to other sites across the country may be required. Responsibilities Assist the team in designing and developing refractory parts and furnace arrangement drawings. Collaborate to produce sketches and drawings for sales, manufacturing, installation, and fabrication. Produce or amend drawings in accordance with customer specifications and technical documentation. Evaluate drawings and identify or rectify problem areas. Work on site during shutdown periods and projects to support furnace construction. Attend customer visits and engineering review meetings at various sites. Create “as‑built” drawings. Calculate full Bill of Quantities for required materials. Input data into the CNC polystyrene hot‑wire cutting machine for formwork manufacture. Participate in project planning activities. Write quality and safety documents for on‑site activities. Assist in other company areas as necessary to maintain high quality. Qualifications Technically minded. Strong mathematical skills. Initiative and motivation. Team player. Experience with TAB standards and onsite installations required. Willingness to work overtime and travel to various sites.
