Sales Intern

We are looking for a Sales Intern for Summer 2026 (June - August) for our Washington, DC area office. Our Sales Internship program provides hands‑on experience across business development, client engagement, and workforce delivery. As a Sales Intern, you will work directly with Account Executives, Recruiters, and Delivery teams to support active client accounts and help drive new business opportunities. This role offers a unique blend of inside sales, field exposure, and operational support - giving you a well‑rounded view of how deals are generated, supported, and executed in fast‑paced technical environments. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day sales and recruiting activities in partnership with Account Executives and Recruiters Act as a Business Development Representative (BDR) partner by: Conducting outbound lead generation calls and prospecting into target accounts; Building and maintaining prospect lists; Supporting follow‑ups and meeting generation efforts Research and identify relevant networking events, industry meetups, and client engagement opportunities; support coordination and attendance Assist in planning and executing client engagement initiatives, including office visits, events, and relationship‑building efforts (e.g., coordinating food/gift drops) Participate in onsite client visits, including: Attending walkthroughs and site tours with sales and delivery teams; Supporting logistics such as delivering materials, equipment, or tools when needed; Observing client interactions in active project environments Gain hands‑on field exposure through: Ride‑alongs with Account Executives and delivery teams; Attendance at client meetings and industry networking events; and Direct interaction with both clients and consultants Support consultant engagement efforts, including check‑ins and relationship support activities Assist with internal tracking and organization of client activity, candidate pipelines, and account notes using CRM tool Contribute to intern‑led projects such as territory mapping, market research, and process improvements What You’ll Gain Real‑world experience in business development and client‑facing sales Exposure to large‑scale, technical project environments and workforce delivery models Opportunity to work alongside experienced sales professionals and leadership Development of core sales skills including prospecting, communication, and relationship management Insight into how complex client engagements are supported from both a sales and delivery perspective Qualifications Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, or a related field Strong interest in sales, business development, or recruiting Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with new people Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Coachable, curious, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment Professional, dependable, and willing to take initiative Why Brooksource Hands‑on, immersive internship experience with meaningful responsibility Direct exposure to client‑facing work and real business impact Collaborative, team‑oriented culture with strong mentorship Clear pathway into full‑time sales or recruiting opportunities Opportunity to build a strong professional network and foundational career skills About Brooksource Here at Brooksource, relationships are at the center of everything we do.
