Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for ICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess patient data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• Maintain accountability for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction
• Apply the framework for professional nursing practice and development in all aspects of patient care
• Operate within the ICU setting managing critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (verification must be less than 30 days old)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours if offered
• Must be willing to obtain mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Previous travel nursing experience
• COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be state record
• Must be available to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification already obtained prior to start
• Familiarity with mRs/SIREN protocols
• Experience in an acute care facility with high admission and emergency volume
