Production Planner

You will be the one to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner. An excellent production planner is well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them. They are organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role.Job Description:To manage a Production Plan based on sales requirements in line with processing machine capacities, materials and manpower availability, and other resourcesAnalyze production specifications and plant capacity data and perform capacity analysis to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirementsTo interface with the Manufacturing operations, Sales Support Team, Inbound Supply Chain and Outbound Logistics and other departments to determine the most efficient Production PlanTo ensure that the product is delivered on time every time-100% service levelManage production planning at the manufacturing facility while considering efficiency and minimizing costEnsure standard operating procedures outlined by Aviagen Company Quality policy are followedTo ensure both efficient running of the factory combined with very high customer service levelsSupport new product developmentsTo develop and enhance skills & knowledge within the Production Planning team to deliver efficient and effective planningJob Qualifications:Poultry processing experience in a supervisory or managerial role in production or planningBachelor's Degree in a suitable fieldHighly numerate and data-driven, with strong analytical skillsExcellent English written & verbal communication skillsExcellent analytical skills and flexibility to changing work schedules requiredStrong attention to detail is requiredAt least 5 years' experience in a Production Planning environment with at least 3 years' experience in an ERP systemAt least 3 years' experience in an environment, preferably a poultry plantPrevious managerial-level experience in planningHigh degree of self-organizational skills, with attention to detailAbility to "multi-task" and operate in an intensive environmentExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenSolid ERP experience related to demand, supply, and production planning and schedulingAbility to establish short- and long-term goals to meet customer needsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
