Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct fuel automation and the Fuel Management System (FMS) implementation and configuration.
  • Manage scheduling, forecasting, and reconciliation of fuel deliveries across Southwest’s network.
  • Provide technical support and act as the primary liaison for fuel control system issues and escalations.
  • Develop and maintain fuel analytics, forecasting, and KPI for fuel operational performance.
  • Collaborate with Fuel System Management (FS&M) leaders to ensure team goals align with company objectives.
  • Document system requirements, interfaces, data mapping, functional specifications, test plans, and error handling processes.
  • Support procurement strategy by building market intelligence, analyzing market trends, and recommending strategies for sourcing and procurement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to optimize FMS and related commercial processes.
  • Manage roadmap development for multi‑year Fuel Supply Chain Management (FSCM) initiatives.
  • Perform additional process responsibilities as directed.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, economics, finance, statistics, or related discipline required.
  • Preferred experience with Allegro or comparable fuel management systems.
  • Desired experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or similar analytics and visualization tools.
  • Verified experience in finance, accounting, or technology roles, and in projects involving process upgrades.

Other Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship or existing authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship will be provided.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, vacations, overtime, and occasional overnight travel up to 15%.
  • Physical ability to perform work from a confined space station or desk for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in using office productivity software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with business and technology stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive compensation ranging from $124,550 to $138,400 annually, depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunities for performance‑based increases. Eligible managers and personnel may receive additional bonus opportunities.
