Behavioral Health ECT NurseProvides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. This position is responsible for delivering high quality, patient-centered care, and coordination through and during the Electroconvulsive Stimulation Therapy (ECT) process. Prepares patients for treatment, assists physicians during treatment, and monitors recovery in the ECT procedure area. Works collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia, PACU, pharmacy, and the inpatient units. Assist with patient education, scheduling, ensuring pre-treatment assessments, treatment monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery for patients and will assure the smooth flow for patients through the ECT process. Is knowledgeable of anesthesia, starting IVs, and monitoring the recovery process.Required Qualifications- Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
