Team members work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with opportunities for long-term career growth.Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Furniture Repair Technician Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 28.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Tuesday through Saturday from 06:00am to 03:00pm)What your day-to-day will look like:Diagnose basic to moderate furniture damage and determine appropriate repair methodPerform repairs including burn-in fills, wood touch-ups, and frame stabilizationAssist with refinishing furniture—sanding, staining, and polishing as neededReupholster or repair minor fabric issues such as seams and stuffingReplace or repair furniture components (legs, arms, handles, hinges, etc.)Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials usedUse and maintain hand and power tools in a safe, effective mannerCollaborate with senior team members to meet repair goalsInspect outbound deluxe furniture on multiple lanes daily to proactively identify and address damage, wear, or finish issuesSupport general warehouse operations during downtime as applicable, including: unloading trucks, pulling product, staging deliveries, and maintaining a clean work areaFurniture Repair Technician Qualifications:One to two years of experience in furniture repair, carpentry, upholstery, refinishing, or a related trade.Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, including safe operating practices.Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality repairs.Ability to lift and move furniture weighing up to 75 pounds.No specific degree is required; candidates must complete all required pre-employment screenings.Applicant may be subject to a background check.
