Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join a dynamic neurosurgical unit in Rochester, NY. This travel position offers the chance to work with specialized multidisciplinary teams caring for patients with complex neurosurgical needs in both floor-level and step-down unit environments.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Neurosurgical Unit

• Perform Q1 neuro checks, manage EVDs, lumbar drains, and subdural drains
• Administer and monitor 3% NS and Cardene drips
• Utilize arterial lines, assist with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clips
• Coordinate care for DBS insertion, VP shunts, and implement seizure management strategies

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Neurosurgical Unit

• Two (2) years of experience in similar roles
• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Stepdown/PCU and telemetry experience required
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS highly desired (American Heart Association ONLY)
