Registered Nurse (RN), Medical/Surgical Unit Job Type: Full-Time – 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period). Schedule: 6 x 12‑hour shifts, Nights (7p.m.–7a.m.), rotating weekends and holidays. Sign‑on bonus up to $7,500 for qualified applicants. About the Unit 54‑bed acute Medical and Surgical unit with 3 wings (18 beds each). Supported by care aides. Wide variety of patient conditions and interventions. Fast‑paced unit with constant admissions and discharges. How You’ll Contribute Plan and intervene in patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Document the care given. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate learning needs of patient/family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s preferred). Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP) – required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
