Java AI Engineer

Java AI Engineer (remote) $40/hr

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based enterprise application development and Generative AI/LLM integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and integrating AI-powered solutions into enterprise workflows using technologies such as Azure OpenAI/OpenAI APIs, RAG frameworks, Prompt Engineering, and AI Orchestration platforms. This role involves developing scalable AI-enabled applications, intelligent automation solutions, transcript-processing capabilities, AI-assisted documentation generation, and enterprise-grade AI integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Build and consume REST APIs and integrate backend services with AI platforms.
• Develop and integrate Generative AI/LLM-powered solutions into enterprise applications and business workflows.
• Implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions to enhance AI response quality and accuracy.
• Design and optimize context assembly and retrieval mechanisms for Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Develop AI orchestration workflows using modern AI frameworks and tools.
• Integrate and optimize Azure OpenAI/OpenAI APIs for conversational AI and intelligent automation use cases.
• Create, test, and refine prompts to improve AI-generated outputs.
• Implement AI response validation, monitoring, compliance checks, and guardrails for production-grade applications.
• Develop solutions for transcript processing, content summarization, and AI-assisted documentation generation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Business Stakeholders to identify and implement AI use cases.
• Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and adherence to software engineering best practices.
