About the Role:

Wonder Gate LLC is looking for a talented and passionate Lead Bartender to join our team in San Diego, CA! This is your chance to take the reins behind the bar, showcase your craft, and help create unforgettable guest experiences in a dynamic and energetic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Craft and serve a wide variety of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine with consistency and flair
• Lead and mentor bar staff, providing guidance on drink preparation, service standards, and best practices
• Manage bar inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure availability
• Develop and update cocktail menus, seasonal specials, and signature drinks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant bar environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Deliver exceptional guest service, handling customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally
• Collaborate with management on bar operations, staffing, and cost control initiatives

Requirements:

• 3+ years of bartending experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
• Valid California RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification and Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain one
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and guest service skills
• Experience with bar inventory management and cost control
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
