Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend requirement for contract, 3 shifts per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide high-quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care and be comfortable working with patients requiring advanced cardiac monitoring and respiratory support.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient load in accordance with established ratios (1:4 to 1:5 during days, 1:5 to 1:6 at night).
• Utilize advanced equipment including bipaps, high flow O2, vapotherm, and Alaris pumps.
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips and insulin and heparin drips.
• Assist in procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertions.
• Conduct hourly rounding on days and every two hours at night, utilizing AIDET principles.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Critical thinking skills and experience in EKG rhythm interpretation.
• Experience with cardiac and insulin/heparin drips is mandatory.
• Preferred experience in peritoneal dialysis, tube feedings, and use of NG/dobhoff tubes.
• Peripheral IV skills are required.
