In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system.A caregiver in this position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm. Hours will ultimately be based on facility needs.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Work alongside Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT), and Cosmetic Dermatology providers.Scribe during office visits to support providers and ensure accurate clinical documentation.Assist with outpatient surgical care.Prepare and assist during local office procedures.Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education.Build long term relationships with patients throughout their surgical journey.Develop specialized skills in a fast paced procedural environment.Work as part of a small, collaborative clinical team.Occasionally float to other Cleveland Clinic ambulatory locations to support operational needs.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate of an approved school of Practical NursingCurrent Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN)Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)One year of patient care experiencePhysical Requirements:Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.The policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
