Reporters & Correspondents [Remote]

Turn complex source materials into clear, factual, document-driven articles that help improve next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role centers on rigorous research, source validation, and precise storytelling, with no prior AI experience required. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze public records, reports, and lengthy documents to identify and synthesize key findings.
• Verify sources and fact-check all content to maintain accuracy and credibility.
• Write concise summaries and full-length, non-opinion articles using journalistic formats such as a strong lead and inverted pyramid structure.
• Create clear, context-rich narratives from provided document sets.
• Participate in editorial review cycles and incorporate feedback to improve clarity, organization, and factual consistency.
• Maintain research-method documentation and citation trails for project transparency and future reference.
• Communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally while collaborating with project stakeholders as needed.

• At least 4 years of reporting or correspondent experience at a recognized media outlet.
• Experience with document-intensive beats, such as investigative journalism, business, or science reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of material into engaging, well-structured narratives.
• Strong record of source validation, fact-checking, and verifiable reporting rather than opinion or commentary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Knowledge of journalistic standards for transparency, citations, and public-records use.
• Remote collaboration experience with editorial or project teams is a plus.

• Remote, independent contractor engagement supporting a client project.

• $40 to $75 per hour.
