Title: Tax Senior Company: Large tech company Compensation: $95K–$105K base + bonus + RSUs (generous total comp Location: San Diego (onsite, 5 days/week) Overview: High-visibility opportunity to join a corporate tax team supporting income tax provision and financial reporting for a large, complex global organization. This role offers strong exposure to leadership, cross-functional teams, and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Support quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, including current and deferred calculations Prepare and analyze tax provision schedules, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers Assist with financial reporting requirements including footnotes and disclosures Support effective tax rate analysis, forecasting, and budgeting initiatives Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and external advisors Contribute to process improvements, automation, and system enhancements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of corporate tax or public accounting experience Exposure to ASC 740 / tax provision processes preferred Strong Excel skills and ability to work in a fast-paced close environment Preferred Qualifications: CPA or progress toward certification Experience with large ERP or tax provision systems Background in multinational or public company environment Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and process improvement focus Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
