Tech MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:

The Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests in blood bank, chemistry, and hematology departments to support patient care. The role requires accurate data collection, equipment operation, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform complex laboratory tests including blood bank, chemistry, and hematology procedures.
  
  
• 
  Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as Siemens Vista, Centaur, Sysmex-XN2000, and Beckman Coulter analyzers.
  
  
• 
  Collect, prepare, and analyze samples such as aliquoting, centrifuging, and diluting specimens.
  
  
• 
  Document and report test results accurately in the Meditech EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Follow safety and laboratory policies, including proper dress code and unit guidelines.
  
  
• 
  Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call duties as scheduled.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an ASCP certification (preferred).
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1+ years of hospital laboratory experience in Blood Bank, Chemistry, or Hematology.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures and equipment operation.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  
  
• 
  Show flexibility and adaptability to new protocols and workflows.
  
  
• 
  Basic knowledge of Meditech EMR system is preferred.
