The Vice President of School Innovations – Regional Districts is responsible for oversight of ICAN’s regional school-based service portfolio (all districts outside UCSD), ensuring scalable implementation, quality outcomes, fiscal stewardship, and sustainable growth through strong district partnerships.

  • Commitment to ICAN mission and values

Programs / Operational Functions Overseen
  • All school-based mental and behavioral health services outside UCSD

  • Regional districts, BOCES portfolio, and Higher Education Institutions

  • Standardized service models and district-customized initiatives

  • New district onboarding and implementation planning

  • Portfolio-level quality, outcomes, staffing, and compliance oversight

Key Outcomes & KPIs
  • Portfolio growth and contract renewals

  • Consistent implementation standards across districts

  • Improved attendance, discipline, engagement, and special education outcomes

  • Operational reliability and documentation compliance

  • District partner satisfaction

  • Financial stewardship and workforce development

Budget & Funding Responsibilities
  • Manage portfolio budgets and monthly variance reviews

  • Support pricing and scope development for contracts

  • Ensure allowable cost tracking and documentation

  • Identify and leverage grant and district funding opportunities

Community & Partner Relationships
  • Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Special Education Directors

  • BOCES leadership and stakeholder groups

  • Community partners and referral networks

  • Internal ICAN leadership and support departments

Education & Experience Requirements
  • BA/BS required; Master’s preferred

  • 5+ years leadership experience in school-based programming

  • Contract management and team supervision experience

  • Experience scaling and standardizing service models

  • Strong relationship management skills
