Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in API test automation using TypeScript and Vitest or similar open-source automation frameworks . The ideal candidate will have a strong quality engineering mindset, experience developing maintainable automation solutions, and the ability to influence testing strategy across both manual and automated testing.

The candidate should be comfortable working with emerging technologies and leveraging AI-assisted testing methodologies and tools to improve quality, productivity, and continuous delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in design and technical specification reviews and translate requirements into comprehensive test plans.
Develop and maintain robust API automation frameworks using TypeScript, Vitest, or similar open-source tools .
Provide innovative ideas and approaches to improve overall product and integration quality.
Recommend and influence the team's overall QA/QE strategy , including manual and automated testing.
Ensure automation code is scalable, reusable, maintainable, and aligned with engineering best practices.
Promote Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Improvement practices.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers to identify and resolve quality issues.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the QE team.
Work effectively with ambiguity and independently drive solutions to complex testing challenges.
Leverage AI tools and AI-assisted testing methodologies to improve test coverage, efficiency, and quality.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, frameworks, and standards.
Support integration and end-to-end testing activities across applications and APIs.

Required Skills

8+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering / QA Automation.
Strong hands-on experience with API test automation .
Strong proficiency in TypeScript .
Hands-on experience with Vitest or similar open-source API/testing frameworks .
Strong understanding of automation framework design, maintainability, reusability, and code quality.
Experience with test planning, test strategy, defect management, and integration testing.
Ability to provide technical direction and guidance to other QE team members.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Willingness to work 2:00 PM 11:00 PM .

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience in Insurance Claims or insurance/healthcare domain.
Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development/testing tools.
Experience with GitHub Actions / CI pipelines .
Experience with Jira and Xray .
Awareness of AI/GenAI technologies and AI-assisted testing methodologies .
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Relevant QA/testing certifications are a plus.
