Job Overview The Family Advocate plays a vital role in supporting and empowering families to achieve self-sufficiency and create nurturing environments for their children. Acting as a bridge between families, the Head Start program, and community resources, the Advocate ensures that children and families receive the necessary support to thrive. This role involves continuous recruitment and maintaining full enrollment for assigned site(s), including grantee and partner locations. Additionally, the Advocate serves as a liaison between Head Start/Early Head Start home-based and center-based services and is responsible for delivering a full range of family services, including providing information, referrals, health tracking, and related duties as needed. Qualifications Education : High School Diploma; Associate’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Experience : Early Childhood experience in registrations, child electronic data tracking systems, Head Start Performance Standards, and Child Care licensing standards preferred. Certifications : Obtain the Family Development Credential (FDC) within 18 months of employment. It is a wonderful place to work!
