Travel - Pediatric X-Ray Tech

Rochester, NY Travel Days Radiography Allied

Shift: Days / 8a-4:30p, 8x5, 40 hrs per week On-call required (must be able to report within 30 minutes when on call)

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Active NY State Radiologic Technologist License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience
• Minimum 1 year experience in a children's hospital
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• ARRT
• BLS
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology

Other Details:

• Performs radiographic imaging of bones, tissues, and organs per physician orders; verifies patient identity and reviews orders before procedures
• Competency with pediatric fluoroscopy exams (UGI, VCUGs, Barium Enema, etc.) and NICU portables
• Proficiency with PACS, electronic patient information systems, and the dual patient-identifier procedure
• Practices ALARA (keeps patient dose as low as possible); interprets age-specific patient needs
• Setting: Level 1 trauma center / pediatric (children's hospital)
• Physical requirements: ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills; team-oriented
