Cafeteria Substitute

Prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.

Cafeteria personnel must work as a cafeteria substitute before becoming eligible to work as a full-time employee. Cafeteria subs are called when a permanent worker is not able to work. Cafeteria subs must establish themselves as dependable workers before becoming eligible for a job opening. As needed, applicants may be added to the Cafeteria Sub Calling List. The Cafeteria Sub Calling List consists of no more than 20 substitutes that will be called on an 'as needed' basis. Applications will be kept on file for one year.

State law requires that all substitutes must be fingerprinted. Contact the district if you have any questions.

You must live within a one hour radius of our district, and have a working local phone number where you can easily be reached, in order to apply for this position.
